Look Good!

Write e-mail

This one goes to all those planning to sit for the Indian MNCs - Infosys, TCS, Wipro, HCL and the Non-tech companies in banking and research. Look Good! Because if you don't, be rest assured those panelists won't mind asking you out of the room, even if you impress them with your technical stuff. In fact they might not give you enough opportunities to show your talent.

Body language and personality form an as important part of interviews as technical knowledge. If you know how to speak, present your view, the panelists have every right to think of you as an eligible learner. On the other hand if your technical hand is strong but cannot express that in front of the 'where it matters' guys, its going to take you down. What a pity!

So guys and girls, its time to become men and women. Start taking care of yourself and start speaking. We would try to help you out in content building and communication here, but in the end its going to be you vs the panel!

Some general tips

  • Be positive. upbeat. No negative emotions should be visible to the panel.
  • Never speak for more than 2 minutes at one time.
  • Be honest. No lying.
  • Find what the employer is looking for. Sell your candidature accordingly. Show them how you satisfy their requirements. Before you blurt out your qualifications, you must get a fair idea of what the employer is looking for.
  • Think before you answer. A pause to think of the answer is always a positive sign to the panel.
